Jeffrey Epstein's former aide and girlfriend Ghislaine Maxwell apparently wants to testify before Congress and put forward her side of the story as she believes she should not have been convicted in the sex trafficking case as a conduit of the disgraced financier Epstein. As the Donald Trump government closed the Epstein investigation,n blocking the way for any further investigation and action, sources claimed that Maxwell was never approached to testify in Congress, which she would agree to do.
The revelation has turned a new leaf in the ongoing controversy over the Epstein case as many social media users feared for her life after this disclosure. Epstein's suicide in his prison cell was mysterious and so was the death of Virginia Giuffre, an accuser of the case, earlier this year. Virginia accused Prince Andrew of sexually abusing her when she was 17 and was trafficked by Epstein and Maxwell.
Where is Ghislaine Maxwell now ?
Maxwell remains at Federal Correctional Institution in Tallahassee. She follows the jail's fitness routine as she was seen walking and jogging around the track. Since her sentence began three years ago, she has taken on leadership roles at the prison, teaching yoga and etiquette classes and has moved up to the 'honor dorm' for good behavior, it was reported earlier.
In 2022, Maxwell, his co-conspirator, was found guilty of five of six counts, including transporting a minor to participate in illegal sex acts, two conspiracy charges and sex trafficking. She was sentenced to 20 years in prison for luring and grooming teenage girls to be exploited by Epstein.
Is Maxwell the only person who can reveal Epstein's client?
Maxwell is considered one of the few people who could reveal the secrets of Epstein. Like Epstein's brother Mark Epstein, Maxwell also believed that Epstein did not commit suicide and was murdered. She lost her appeals against her conviction so far.
Now 63 years old, Maxwell is due for release in July 2037.
"Despite the rumors, Ghislaine was never offered any kind of plea deal. She would be more than happy to sit before Congress and tell her story," the Daily Mail quoted the source as saying. "No one from the government has ever asked her to share what she knows. She remains the only person to be jailed in connection to Epstein and she would welcome the chance to tell the American public the truth."
