NEW DELHI: Congress leader Jairam Ramesh on Saturday launched a sharp critique of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s foreign policy, alleging that Indian diplomacy has been exposed in recent weeks.
In a post on X, Ramesh pointed to four recent developments that, according to him, show the Modi government's "failure" in handling foreign affairs.
Ramesh accused the PM's “drum-beaters and cheerleaders” of misleading the public with huge claims about diplomatic success.
The Congress leader referred to recent US actions involving Pakistan and US President Donald Trump’s repeated claims about intervening in the India-Pakistan conflict.
“The abject failure of Indian diplomacy, especially in the past two months, is revealed most tellingly by four facts. These expose the tall claims made by the Prime Minister and his drum-beaters and cheerleaders,” Ramesh said.
