This beautiful island is just a short distance from the UK, and it's one that can't be missed this summer. Even though it's within reach of the UK, it's not a destination you often hear of Brits heading to.
The island offers a slice of paradise closer than you might think. Nestled in the English Channel, this gem boasts stunning coastline, quaint seaside towns, and a rich blend of British and French culture. Its beaches are praised by visitors and you won't be disappointed by its stunning scenery.
Guernsey is home to panoramic sea views, dramatic cliff paths and some of the prettiest harbour towns in Europe, says Savills.
One must-visit place in the area is Verzon Bay. A visitor on Tripadvisor said: "A beautiful beach with plenty to see, you are able to have a nice walk on the beach or sit on the sea wall and watch the world go by, always something goes on, a lovely place, rain or shine."
Another penned: "A great place to wander, and to enjoy the scenery, it's also a little quieter than Cobo beach area, so nice to sit and read and watch the waves."
You should also visit Saint Peter Port, the capital of Guernsey, which features a picturesque harbour lined with cafés, boutiques, and historic architecture.
If you visit the capital, you might want to make a trip to Castle Cornet. This 800-year-old castle offers an insight into island history with four museums and several historic gardens, as well as panoramic views.

It's just a short walk out of the town centre so worth a wander to if you're a history lover.
Wonderlog says: "Guernsey, with its stunning coastline and picturesque beaches, is a true gem in the English Channel.
"From the soft sands of Vazon Bay to the tranquil waters of Petit Bot Bay, this island offers a diverse range of beach experiences that cater to every type of traveler.
"Whether you're looking to soak up the sun, enjoy a leisurely stroll along the shore, or indulge in some water sports, Guernsey's beaches provide the perfect backdrop for your seaside adventures."
If you're looking for a different place to visit this summer, Guernsey could be the perfect place to enjoy a break.
