Carrots work as a great vegetable side dish for many different meals. They're quick and easy to prepare, with most people choosing to boil the vegetables. However, Andrea Johnson, a self-proclaimed "foodie and homebody" shared a video on her YouTube channel, on how to make the ultimate classic carrot side dish.
In the video, Andrea showcased the delicious looking glazed carrots, she made by completely skipping the boiling process and doing something else instead.
The short recipe has only four ingredients. It starts by placing carrots in a frying pan with "a little bit of water" and cooking until the carrots are around "three-quarters of the way."
The next step is to add what Andrea branded "the good stuff"-butter and brown sugar.
Once you've added the two ingredients, simply sauté the carrots until cooked. Finally, you will want to throw some herbs into the mix, scattering them all over your carrots, and then just like that, you're done and left with beautifully glazed carrots to enjoy.
The video gained 68 comments, with viewers sharing their own recommendations.

Sliverphoenix684 thanked the food blogger, and added: "you changed my dinner," to which Andrea responded: "Thank you...it's so good."
Another viewer asked if oil can be used as an alternative to butter, to which Andrea confirmed it "absolutely" can. She also responded to a request for the list of ingredients, including the measurements and exact herbs used.
Replicating Andrea's method couldn't be simpler. She used a pound of peeled and sliced carrots, two tablespoons of butter, two teaspoons of dark brown sugar, a teaspoon of fresh herbs such as parsley, thyme, and oregano, and two to three tablespoons of water that she added to the pan.
