The long-awaited return of The Sandman on Netflix is finally here, and the first fan reviews have already labelled the fantasy drama "amazing." The new series, which comes almost three years after season one was released, has been hailed as "perfect" by those who have already binge-watched the whole thing. The series stars Tom Sturridge as Morpheus, the Master of Dreams, who tries to bring his former kingdom back to full glory. The new episodes from season two pick up weeks after the events of the first series, with Dream restoring his kingdom and spending more than a decade away from the Dreaming.
One fan left a glowing review online, saying, "I just finished watching episode 1!! It was AMAZING! Visually stunning, beautiful music score, and of course, great storytelling and acting performances!! I can't wait to watch the whole season 2." [sic]
A second person also chimed in, "The Sandman Season 2 is so good," and a third similarly commented, "Watching The Sandman and so many of these shots are so gorgeous."
A fourth also echoed: "The visuals, the graphics, all those elements, the harmony, everything was magnificent, perfect. A real delight for the eyes #TheSandman."
A fifth fan typed online: "#TheSandmanS2 has me speechless. Visually stunning, as expected, and I love exploring Morpheus's vulnerability, because truly, 'What does Dream dream about?' Honestly, I thought the plot and drive was weak at the start, but I'm all in now. #TheSandman."
The first six episodes of The Sandman's second season have been released in Part One, and the remaining episodes will be released later this month.

Meanwhile, in other news, Netflix fans have been left "upset" after the streaming service announced it has pulled the plug on two shows.
The Residence and Pulse both landed on our screens this year, but it has now been revealed that both will not see a second season. Both series had four-week runs in Netflix's internal, worldwide top 10 rankings, with The Residence gaining 177.4million hours of viewing.
Pulse drew 20.2million views and 162.1million total viewing hours during its four weeks in the worldwide rankings. Fans have been left unimpressed by the cancellations, with one person on X saying, " Netflix has cancelled The Residence, and I'm UPSET!!!"
A second fan also commented: "Nooooo! All the c**p that Netflix greenlights and they decide to cancel The Residence? It is such a good show. Uzo Aduba is fantastic in it. The whole thing was fun."
Another echoed: "So disappointed. The Residence is a fantastic show!! The best of the who-dunnit genre I have seen in a long time. I would have loved to see what mystery they would do next! #TheResidence #Netflix."
