CNN was halted for an urgent alert as anchor Dana Bash hit out at Donald Trump.
It comes after Trump and Robert F Kennedy Jr claimed that Tylenol was not safe to use during pregnancy, and had linked it to autism in children, despite medical professionals saying it is fine to take while expecting.
Senate Leader John Thune appeared on CNN as he said he was "very concerned" about Trump's comments, as he urged the President to use caution when making statements in their speeches.
Dana asked Thiune: "Trump along with RFK Junior saying that pregnant should limit using Tylenol because of 'quote very increased risk of autism', and that is a claim not grounded in science.
"How worried are you that Trump and RFK Jr will adversely impact the health of American women and their babies?"

Thune replied: "I'm obiously very concerned, I am a father and a grandfather, and just seven months ago, welcomed a newborn grandson, obviously pregnant moms is something I have a very high level of interest in.
"I do agree that science should guide our discussions and our decisions around our health, there are studies out there, but I think there a lot of people who have come to a different conclusion about the use of Tylenol and my view is we need to be very guarded about making broad assertions, and make sure they are well grounded in science and medicine and where we're taking the advice of experts in the field, and ensuring these things are well documented."
These comments come after Trump hit out at a CNN reporter during a live conference.
As the reporter tried to ask about the US getting involved in another foreign war, Trummp replied: "Oh, well it's fake news that fortunately nobody watches." The news correspondent then went to ask another question but the President interrupted her as he asked: "Does anybody even watch CNN nowadays? I haven't seen it in a long time."
The reporter then continued trying to get answers from Trump but the 79-year-old politician continued to put her down as he asked: "Do you ever ask a positive question at CNN?"
