It's turning into another pivotal summer in the transfer market for Arsenal as they prepare for another tilt at the Premier League title. Mikel Arteta has already brought in Kepa Arrizabalaga and Martin Zubimendi, but the club are far from done.
The Gunners are also close to bringing in Sporting CP striker Viktor Gyokeres and Brentford midfielder Christian Norgaard. They are also now being heavily linked with Crystal Palace forward Eberechi Eze in a £68million deal. The FA Cup winner will undoubtedly strengthen Arteta's squad, but it's a sizeable fee given that Arsenal are likely to spend big on Gyokeres too.
Express Sport looks at five players Arsenal can offer Palace in order to offset costs...
Jakub KiwiorEze isn't the only star on the brink of leaving Selhurst Park this summer. Speculation is mounting that Liverpool will soon up their pursuit of Marc Guehi, a scenario that may benefit Arsenal.
Centre-back Jakub Kiwior made just 17 league appearances last season, with Arteta firmly favouring the pairing of Gabriel Magalhaes and William Saliba. At 25, the Polish international still has plenty to offer and would help the Eagles counteract the potential loss of Guehi.
Another defender to have fallen out of favour under Arteta. The 28-year-old has been linked with a £17m move to AC Milan, but the prospect of remaining in London and cutting the Eze fee by a similar figure could benefit all parties involved.
Gabriel JesusWhen the Brazilian international signed from Manchester City for a £45m fee three years ago, it's fair to say offloading him to Palace two years before his contract expired wasn't in the script.
However, the 28-year-old has been injury-plagued in North London and only fleetingly showed the clinical ability that helped him win a glut of trophies under Pep Guardiola. If the club is confident of securing Gyokores, offering Jesus as part of the Eze deal appears a no-brainer.
Fabio VieiraThe last time an ex-Arsenal star called Vieira came on board at Selhurst Park things didn't end well, but the Portuguese midfielder is also an ideal swap option. Impressed back in Porto on loan last season, but the presence of Martin Odegaard and the pursuit of Eze make the prospect of breaking into the first XI an unlikely one.
At 25 and with two years left on his deal, he remains valued highly enough to help cut the Eze price.
Reiss Nelson
Another player loaned out last season, but managed only 12 appearances at Fulham before his campaign was curtailed by injury. However, the ex-England under-21 international still has the potential to flourish in England if he can regain the form that led to him signing a new long-term deal at the Emirates in 2023.
If Fulham were prepared to take the gamble, then the 25-year-old could also be viewed as the man to fill the wide void left by Eze.
