One of Game of Thrones' biggest stars has been cast in an action-packed series coming soon to Netflix.
Natalie Dormer portrayed Margaery Tyrell in HBO's historical epic based on the novels by George R. R. Martin. Her character became the wife of King Tommen Baratheon and had a memorable - and grisly - death at the hands of Cersei Lannister.
Aside from her role as Margaery, Dormer has a glittering CV that includes roles in period drama The Tudors, appearances in The Hunger Games movies, 2013 biopic Rush and a starring role in 2016's The Forest.

Her latest project is an eight-part Netflix series set in the same universe as the Extraction films which are based on the graphic novel Ciudad by Ande Parks, Joe Russo and Anthony Russo.
There have been two Extraction movies so far, both starring Chris Hemsworth, in which his character navigates dangerous search and rescue missions. Joe Russo penned the screenplay for the two films, with a third on the way.
Meanwhile the series will follow a similar story arc, featuring a mercenary (Omar Sy) who is trying to save hostages in Libya while trapped between warring factions. Narcos' Boyd Holbrook is also in the cast, though he and Dormer's characters remain under wraps for now.
The Walking Dead's Glen Mazzara will serve as a writer and showrunner on the upcoming series, while Extraction and Extraction 2 director Sam Hargrave takes on the role of executive producer. Additional executive producers include Anthony Russo, Joe Russo, Angela Russo-Otstot, Scott Nemes, and Chris Castaldi.

In conversation with Netflix's Tudum, Russo-Ostot shared: "We were inspired to tell more stories in this global franchise, further exploring heroic yet flawed mercenaries who illuminate universal themes.
"Glen Mazzara truly excels at sophisticated and nuanced explorations in the genre series space, and we are thrilled to have the exceptional talents of Omar Sy at the centre of our action-packed, multi-narrative mission.”
Director Mazzara added: "I’m a very lucky man [...] Omar is a huge talent. Joe, Anthony, and Angela have welcomed me into the AGBO family. The team at Netflix is truly the best I’ve ever worked with. Very lucky indeed."
The Extraction movies are currently available to watch on Netflix. The first earned a 71 per cent Rotten Tomatoes rating from viewers, while its sequel scored a much higher 84 per cent.
