All the dating hints Pete Wicks and Jowita Przystal dropped as they seal romance with kiss

After being paired together on last year’s Strictly Come Dancing and coming in fifth place, Pete Wicks and Jowita Przystal were met with plenty of speculation they were dating during their time together on the BBC One show. They were linked at the same time as he was linked to Love Island star, Maura Higgins.

The two finally confirmed their romance as they enjoyed three steamy smooches live on stage during his Staying Relevant podcast show at London’s 02 Arena with best pal Sam Thompson – but it's been insisted the pair started dating long after Pete's split with Maura.

Strictly Come Dancing pair Pete, 36, and Jowita, 31, performed a dance they had been saving for the BBC show's final – which they narrowly missed out on – at London's O2 Arena last night, as part of a special live show for Pete and pal Sam Thompson's Staying Relevant podcast. The pair locked lips three times during the performance, making sure to confirm they were an item.

Chemistry on and off the dance floor

During their partnership on Strictly, the duo were often pictured arriving and leaving the BBC Studios together, with reports stating the pair had begun sharing a car during the initial few weeks of the series.

A source had told The Sun at the time: "The chemistry between them has been pretty clear since the moment they met.

"But the last few weeks something has changed and they’ve started seeing each other away from the show.

"They’ve tried to keep it low-key but they often travel together rather than getting separate cars to different locations."

The pair’s chemistry on the dancefloor, meanwhile, was often highlighted by the Strictly judges as well as fans at home. During one week, Pete and Jowita performed a fierce Tango to Easy Lover by Phillip Bailey and Phil Collins and garnered a score of 29 out of 40.

Jowita wore a racy white mesh dress and Pete donned a black suit as they took to the dancefloor for the performance. One fan expressed on X: “OMG the chemistry between you and Jowita is electrifying.

“You're relationship goals. Jowita has tamed you Pete in a really nice way. All you needed was someone who believes in you 100%. It's a beautiful thing to watch.”

Another Strictly fan gushed: “'Love these two together, I love their chemistry,” and someone else penned: “Their chemistry is unreal! Just wife her already! Lol.” The two also had a couple near-kisses at the end of their performances which left fans hot under the collar.

Gushing tributes

Pete and Jowita often took to Instagram to share sweet tributes to one another. After their journey ended, he posted: “This experience wouldn’t have been anything without Jowita. She believed in me since the first day and never stopped. She supported me, listened to me, made me laugh and cry but most of all she made me believe in myself when I didn’t think I could do it.

“We did everything our way, and for me that was the right way. I’m so sorry that I couldn’t get you to a final, I tried my best and you deserve to be there. The show may have ended for us but one thing won’t, you will always have a friend in me."

He also continued to gush over her once the experience had ended as he told Mail Online: “She was the best partner I could have had... she's become one of the most important in my life.

“She's one of my best mates, and I adore her. She had to put up with me, she dragged me through it, because it certainly wasn't the dancing."

Romantic birthday message

Pete posted a gushing tribute to Jowita on her birthday in August, which left fans pondering if Pete and Jowita had turned things up a notch. He shared a series of photos from their time on Strictly together, alongside some cosy selfies and wrote in the caption: "It was never about dancing…it was about the person. Happy birthday @jowitaprzystal - I am so blessed and grateful to have you in my life. My pocket rocket" followed by a black heart emoji.

Fans took to the comments to speculate over their romance as one wrote: "This is 1000% who he’s in love with", whiel another said: "So i guess its her, who's pete in love with. He did admit to staying relevant podcast". And a third added: "Would love it if Pete and Jowita were together, they suit each other so much".

Pete's love confession

Weeks before locking lips with Jowita, Pete confessed to being 'in love' on his Staying Relevant podcast. Taking part in a lie detector test he was asked by pal Sam Thompson: "Are you in love with somebody right now?"

Pete answered 'no', but he was proven to be lying as the polygraph examiner said he wasn't telling the truth, by giving a thumbs down. Sam screamed: "Ahhh I knew it! And that's all we're going to say," to which Pete replied: "How could you do that to me?"

The former Made In Chelsea star said: "I don't know, it just came to my head, it's a f****** lie. Pete's in love secretly and I think I know who it is."

Pete insisted: "You know exactly who it is, I literally told you the f****** story, she's not replied."
