Under which the names of about 51 lakh people are being removed. The reasons can be different. Some have duplicate entries, some have died, some have shifted to another place.

How to check your name?
If you are a voter of Bihar, then it is important to check your name in the voter list once. Because the Election Commission is going to remove about 51 lakh names under special revision before the elections. Out of these 51 lakh people, 18 lakh are those who are no longer in this world. 26 lakh people have changed their assembly constituency. While the names of about 7 lakh people are registered in the voter list at two places. But sometimes due to technical error or wrong information, the names of the right voters can also be removed.
Therefore, it is important that you check your name in the voter list to avoid unnecessary trouble. For this, you can go to https://voters.eci.gov.in / website and check the name from the option of Search in Electoral Roll. In this, you can search by EPIC number or name. Apart from this, you can also check through Voter Helpline App.
This is how you can add your name againIf you still live in Bihar and are fully eligible but despite this your name has been removed from the voter list, you can get your name added again. For this you will have to go to https://voters.eci.gov.in and fill Form-6. In this form, you will have to fill information like your name, address, date of birth and also upload a valid ID proof like Aadhaar card, driving license or passport. After submitting the application, BLO may come to your address for verification. If the information given is found to be correct, then within a few days your name will be added to the voter list again.
