Team India completed one year of winning the T20 World Cup in the West Indies on Sunday, June 29. On this very day, Suryakumar Yadav completed an iconic catch on the long-off boundary to ensure that Team India ende dtheir ICC trophy drought. To celebrate the one-year completion of the historic milestone, an anniversary bash was organised for the players in Birmingham. The video of the celebration by BCCI on it's social media handle.

In the video, the Indian team honoured the moment with two different cakes, one reading ‘Team India’, the other reading ‘Champions T20 WC 2024’.
Player were initially hesitant and not ready to cut the cake. In the video the likes of Rishabh Pant, Arshdeep Singh, and Mohammed Siraj could be seen urging each other to be the one to do the honours. In the end it was Jasprit Bumrah who stood up and took the responsibility and stepped forward to cut one cake, while Siraj did his duties for the other, after their younger battery-mate Arshdeep urged them by saying "Paaji, kaato na (cut it no.)"

Rishabh Pant teases Ravindra Jadeja
Durign the celebration, Rishabh Pant playfully nudged Ravindra Jadeja about his retirement from the shortest format. With a mischievous grin, Pant quipped that they were also toasting the one-year anniversary of Jadeja’s T20I farewell a nod to his post-final exit alongside veterans Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma.
But Jadeja wasn’t letting that one go unanswered. In classic Jaddu style, he shot back with a cheeky reminder “Ek hi format se liya hai abhi!” making it clear he’s still very much in the game when it comes to Tests and ODIs.
The light-hearted exchange was followed by a wholesome moment as the players shared cake, a gesture that symbolized far more than just a celebration.
