Ways To Help Children Deal With Stress: Even small things sometimes seem big for children. Imagine your child participates in a drawing competition in school, works hard, but when his name does not come among the winners, he gets sad and says, " I don't know anything. Now, at such times, the parents' heart breaks, but this is the opportunity when you can teach the child that winning and losing is not everything. Every experience in life teaches something. A little learning and patience not only make children emotionally strong but also give them the courage to overcome stress and disappointment. Let us know some such easy and effective ways, by which you can teach your child to handle difficult situations.

Do not fulfill every demand immediately.
Many parents fulfill the child's insistence immediately, due to which he gets used to getting everything immediately. Teach him that there is a right time for everything. For example, if the child wants a toy, then tell him to write it in his birthday wish list. This will develop patience and the habit of planning in him.
Teach to accept defeat.
Explain to children that failure is an important part of life. If he loses in a competition, then console him and tell him that every defeat gives us a chance to become better.
Positive conversation is important.
When the child is disappointed, talk to him positively. Tell him that he can find solutions to problems, and he has this ability. If he is not able to do well in any subject, then praise his hard work and small improvements.
Develop problem-solving skills.
Give children a chance to find solutions to their problems themselves. For example, if the child says that some school work seems difficult, then instead of telling the solution immediately, ask him what he thinks, and how it can be fixed?
Teach to understand and control emotions.
Tell children that it is important to recognize their emotions and express them in the right way. If the child is angry, ask him to take a deep breath or drink water.
Avoid comparison
Never compare your child with anyone else. This can weaken his confidence. Every child is different and has different abilities. Focus on his strengths.
Be a role model yourself.
Children learn what they see and feel from their parents. If you yourself show patience and positivity in difficult times, then children will also adopt the same.
Remember, teaching children to deal with stress and frustration is a long process, in which your love, right guidance and your better behavior play the most important role.
