David Corenswet made the world fall in love with his version of Clark Kent and Superman, making everyone slowly accept him into the many different variants of the character that existed in cinema. James Gunn’s Superman set up Milly Alcock’s Supergirl, a film that is almost done filming.
The film is reportedly being reshot, most likely because more of Corenswet’s character is being added to the film. This could be seen as both a positive and a negative thing since the duo had natural chemistry in the Nicholas Hoult film.

It was recently reported by a trusted source on X, @DanielRPK, that Supergirl is undergoing a few weeks of reshoot. This is presumably being done to incorporate more of David Corenswet’s Superman into the mix. Fans who previously watched CW’s Supergirl know just how badly we need a good adaptation of the hero, despite the great job Melissa Benoist did.
The cameo that we got of Milly Alcock in Superman was satisfying enough to leave us craving more of her character. Now that her brother is an already established character in the DCU, he ought to make an appearance in the film.
However, this doesn’t mean that he needs to be a part of the film extensively. The entire point is that Superman and Supergirl are polar opposites and while watching them clash would be fun, there is one problem.
There could be a chance that the more he is in the movie, the more likely the attention would be diverted to Corenswet. This would be a bad thing because of how good James Gunn has made the DC projects so far. These reshoots could also be a result of the test screenings that likely failed. Either way, there are a lot of eyes on the film.

Fans are now trying to speculate just what could be the actual reason behind these reshoots. Whether it is to add more of David Corenswet’s Superman or fix all the aspects that didn’t sit well with the audience during the first screenings of Supergirl.
Could work, but it screams damage control

Really hope they do end up adding those scenes and Superman being part of it - It's always much easier for the audience to relate to a character in a universe like this when an established character is also in it

Interesting!😃 Sounds like they’re doubling down on the superhero team-up vibe- definitely curious to see how Superman fits in.

Supergirl getting extra scenes with Superman? Now that’s a crossover I didn’t know I needed🦸♀️🦸♂️

Just focus on one project James. Peacemaker 2 was mid asf cause all of his attention was on Superman. I have a feeling with the studio on the line he’s just gonna chef these out as much as he can.

Two weeks is nothing, feels like adding a cameo or end credits scene to link into the next Superman Movie which hadn't been written at the time of filming.

With only two weeks of reshoots and the Superman costume being in use, it could just be that the film is being shot for a cameo or setting up the sequel to Corenswet’s film.
Others are also hoping that we get to see a scene with him facing off against Lobo. Although reshoots after a film is done are quite common, it does feel odd that the actor is also being added in the mix.
