Viktor Gyokeres has already demonstrated his commitment levels to Mikel Arteta as his anticipated move to Arsenaledges closer.
The Swedish striker has been at the heart of a protracted transfer saga, with the Gunners and Sporting CP locked in talks over his future. The two clubs were believed to be close to agreeing on a deal worth £55million, plus an additional £8.5m in add-ons.
However, discussions on how to structure the bonuses in the deal have caused a delay. According to The Athletic, the Premier League side are now one step closer to securing the forward's signature, with both clubs nearly in full agreement over the transfer.

Talks to finalise the deal are reportedly set to commence shortly, with only minor details left to iron out. Gyokeres has already agreed personal terms with the north London club.
While his remarkable goal-scoring record is well-known across European football, his behind-the-scenes efforts may not be as well documented. Gyokeres' meteoric rise, marked by scoring 97 goals in 102 games for the Portuguese champions, recently earned him the cover spot for Vogue Scandinavia's June-July issue.

As part of the photoshoot, the striker shared insights into his home workout routine and how he's optimised his personal space to deliver top performances on the pitch.
Arteta would no doubt be thrilled with the striker's dedication to his fitness regime, as he shared on their : "I think physicality is a big part of my game. I always need to maintain it and keep getting better.
"Yeah I do my pull ups, push ups, sometimes shoulder press. Sometimes after a game where I need to rest my legs, I can focus on the upper body so if I don't do it with the team, I can do the exercises at home. So that's why I have my gym here, and I have the possibility to do it at home. So that's what I enjoy on a daily basis."

Gyokeres' impending arrival at Arsenal follows some solid progression in the market this summer following another season where they secured the runner-up spot in the league for the third consecutive campaign.
The north London club have already welcomed Martin Zubimendi, Kepa Arrizabalaga, Christian Norgaard and Noni Madueke to their ranks, while the signing of Cristhian Mosquera is also expected to be confirmed soon.
Their spending will be nearing the £200m mark in their quest to bridge the gap with Premier League champions Liverpool. The Reds' investment strategy has also been hefty, with Hugo Ekitike set to join other fresh faces like Florian Wirtz, Milos Kerkez, Jeremie Frimpong, and Giorgi Mamardashvili.
